The South Australian Wine Industry Association has been conducting wine courses since 1956.
The National Wine Education & Training Centre was established in 2001 to provide consumer wine education at the newly opened National Wine Centre of Australia.
Since 2001, more than 8,000 people have participated in one of our wine education courses.
Want to learn more about wine? You may wish to enhance your general wine knowledge, be new to South Australia and want to understand more about our wine and our regions or be starting a career at a cellar door or in hospitality. Our passionate wine educators are ready to share their knowledge and experience with you.
Established in 1840, the South Australian Wine Industry Association is the peak body representing the winemakers and grape growers of South Australia – the heart and soul of the Australian wine industry.
The association’s core functions are to provide leadership and strategy, represent the industry and lobby on its behalf, create promotional opportunities for wineries, and provide advisory services to members allowing grape and wine businesses to prosper and grow within a dynamic, diverse industry.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live, learn and work, the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Stright Islander people as the first Australians and pay respect to them and their Elders past, present and emerging. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage, beliefs, and their continuing connection to lands, waters, and communities.
