We ask that you refrain from wearing perfumes and aftershaves as the scent can distract from the aroma of the wine.
In a Wine Essentials Course, you will be tasting eight wines over three hours, equivalent to between two to three standard drinks if you consume it all.
In an Understanding Wine 5-week Course, you will be tasting four wines over two hours in the first week and between six and eight wines over two hours in the weeks that follow. This would be the equivalent of between one and four standard drinks if you were to consume it all.
In an Understanding Wine Weekend Course, you will be tasting sixteen wines over five hours in the first week and eighteen wines over five hours in the second week, which is the equivalent of between three to four standard drinks if you were to consume only 30ml of each (it is likely the pours will be more generous than 30ml).
It is not a requirement of the course to drink all of the wine you taste, and individual spittoons are supplied for those who wish to use them.
We remind all of our participants that what you drink will impact your blood alcohol level so please consider how you will be travelling home from the course to avoid risks associated with driving under the influence of alcohol.
